Some contemporaries have said that revelation is a religious experience and if divine prophets have reached the level of prophethood, it is the result of their culture, personality and relative knowledge which will also be effective in presenting the contents of revelation. Abdul Karim Soroush, following some Western philosophers such as Schleiermacher, considers revelation to be the same religious experience and inspiration and that the experiences of poets and mystics are not essentially different from them, although in terms of the form of expression, there are some differences with the views of Western philosophers. Although Soroush's view has been criticized for many years and has remained without a scientific answer from its proponents, it faces numerous problems, regardless of its lack of scientific validity. In the meantime, Imam Khomeini (RA)1, citing the Quran and narrations, considers revelation to be a true connection and divine, creative, and supernatural revelation from the Almighty to the Prophet Muhammad, and considers its occurrence to be documented in the levels of the soul, its detachment, existential spaciousness, and the ability to perceive unseen truths at the highest level. This article, by evaluating contemporary minimal views, has presented a redefinition of revelation, citing Imam Khomeini's views.
