Abstract
Meditation is a new concept in the literature of spiritualism, which was taken from Eastern religions by the New Age movement and is presented as a solution to treat the anxieties and stresses of modern man. In Persian, by translating the texts of new spiritualists, some translators have tried to find similarities between Islamic meditation and meditation, and by equating the two, they can easily put the equivalent of meditation in Persian. This has caused confusion between Islamic meditation and meditation among the general public. The present article seeks to first define meditation and then state its components and foundations, and then go to the concept of meditation and its components and solutions from the perspective of Allameh Hassanzadeh Amoli, in order to show whether meditation Is Islam the same as meditation, or is the commonality limited to superficial similarities, and there are serious differences in the field of fundamentals and components as well as solutions.
