Freedom & freewill is one of the most challenging philosophical topics that every thinker has a special point of view on this subject according to his first principles thinking. The present article aims to examine human freedom and freewill from the perspective of Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi & Dr. Shariati considering them as two prominent figures representing different currents within modernity and traditional Islam. The exploration will be conducted through a comparative analysis. In this study, it was found that the views of Ayatollah Mesbah (RA) and Dr. Shariati on the subject, despite fundamental differences in matters such as: definition and nature of man, type of attitude and approach to freedom and the limits of freedom, in cases such as: definition Freedom, conditions and equipment of freedom, freedom to barriers, etc. are common and close to each other.
