The benevolent perception of the prophets and divine saints in confronting suffering is truly remarkable. Although they, like all other human beings, possess bodies that are vulnerable to afflictions and emotions that suffer from adversities, they not only refrain from perceiving these matters as evil but, with a unitive perspective, regard all existence and its creatures as a manifestation of the Truth. They consider all events, whether seemingly ugly or beautiful, as instruments of their trial and as steps for their ascension to the station of the Divine Countenance.
Given that resolving the problem of suffering is considered a significant issue in various philosophical and psychological schools of thought in the contemporary era, the author of this study seeks to investigate the reasons and mechanisms behind this satisfied, beauty-oriented, and meaningful attitude of the saints of God toward the problem of suffering. Employing an analytical method based on the ontological and anthropological principles of Mulla Sadra, the author argues that deciphering this attitude hinges on a correct understanding of humanity's place in existence
