According to Ferdowsi, the women of the Shahnameh have played an active and often positive role in the events and epics; to the extent that they enjoy a high and prestigious moral status. As a sage, Ferdowsi describes the virtues and wise role of women at different individual, family and social levels, and in this narrative, he endorses virtuous ethics. In this literary masterpiece, we encounter women who, although they have diverse moral personalities, many of them represent wise and prudent lives. On the other hand, wisdom, i.e., household management and family management, is shaped by the role of the most important pillar of the family, i.e. women. The wise women of the Shahnameh in their various positions of wife, mother and child are excellent examples of wise behavior and speech. It also talks about women who were aware of the statecraft and were concerned with governance with prudence and wisdom. In this article, by taking a brief look at the actions and behaviors of women in the Shahnameh, we aim to prove that the prudence and wisdom of women in the Shahnameh are not limited to their individual and moral spheres, and their prudence also resonates in the social arena. Women work side by side with men to reform matters in the family and the larger society.
