Oswald Spengler, inspired by Goethe, used morphology for the comparative study of eight great cultures of the world. From his perspective, the main components of morphology are: 1. Cultures are dynamic and organic and go through the stages of birth, youth, old age and death. This is the inevitable fate of all cultures and through it, one can disambiguate the past of a culture and predict its future. 2. Every culture has its own spirit and essence that distinguishes it from other cultures. The spirit of every culture is reflected in politics, economics, art, science and so on. The uniqueness and independence of cultures requires the acceptance of a kind of relativity and lack of interaction between them. Therefore, comparing cultures is possible only in terms of structure and form. 3. The linear and evolutionary approach to history is rejected and replaced by a cyclical and cyclical approach. As a result, Eurocentrism disappears and contemporaneity acquires a different meaning from the conventional meaning in the linear view. 4. Mechanical explanation and historical causality are sacrificed in favor of fate, and understanding the meaning of an event becomes more important than finding its cause. 5. Religion and spirituality are the axis of the cyclical movement of cultures and world history, so that it can be said that the essence and soul of culture is religion and the essence of civilization is irreligion.
